The Summer

Sitting in their favorite chairs, Anna and Nick were reminiscing on the past. To this day, Anna remembers pulling up to that Georgia home and staying with her cousin that special summer. The second day she was there she met a boy named, Nick and from that moment on they were inseparable. The day Anna left to go back to her Manhattan mansion she vowed to Nick that she would write him everyday and they would never loose touch. The day Anna left, Nick knew she would be the one he married.

The only problem was that Anna was a beautiful city girl with a high education and Nick was just a sunburned, good ole' country boy who worked at the local wood yard. Their families came from two totally different worlds. Anna's family was high class and only cared about their money and their name. The one thing they wanted was to make sure that Anna married someone of their same standards and wealth. They wanted a man that could provide for Anna and give her all her needs and wants. On the other hand, Nick was nothing like Anna. His family made just enough money to get by and did not care anything about their so-called name. They believed everyone was created equal. Nick's family was very close and valued everything.

Standing on the door step of Anna's beautiful home, Nick he was not going to be accepted by Anna's high, class family. Anna also remembers that day very vividly. She can remember her dad hating Nick. He said Nick was a no good country boy from the South and had little education. He said Anna would never live out her full potential if she married Nick. But Anna new differently, for the first time in her life she did not care what her family or friends thought. She did not care how wealthy or classy her family was. All she knew was loved a man named Nick and he loved her.
